Undoubtedly there are things that we desire that are far more than we have but our focus cannot and should not be upon those things. If we turn our minds we will learn to be thankful for what we have. Try and be thankful for the joyous people in our lives.
We have free will and we can try to improve our outlooks. After my injury occurred I distinctly remember that I was going to put forth every effort to be thankful for the things that I have in my life. I have to choose to be happy and thankful that I can work at all. It certainly was questionable if I was going to be able to work at all following my injury. Every moment that I am able to think and choose is a moment that I need to try and choose an attitude of gratitude.
Every one of us will see the improvement that can happen as we choose to change our mind to an attitude of gratitude. We need to make a mental list of the things that we can be grateful for. We need to be thankful for the people that are in our lives. Each one of us has free will and we can all choose to be grateful for what we have.
I do not love that the weather is getting colder, but I am choosing to focus upon the great nights that I had in the summer and also the exciting things that I have planned for this winter. I will include a picture of a fantastic night from a concert that I went to in the end of the summer. I am choosing to focus upon the great nights that I enjoyed over the summer. I can carry them with me by continuing to listen to the music. I feel an incredible sense of gratefulness since I have chosen an attitude of gratitude.
I believe that all people can make a conscientious decision to choose to be thankful for the things that we have. Be thankful that you woke up today and be thankful that you have your health. The greatest ability that we have is the ability to have free will. Every one of us can choose to focus upon the things that we have.
