Year's End

“No matter what you're going through, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you'll find the positive side of things.” Demi Lovato

Another year is coming to an end and it is important to try and keep prospective on how you want to live your life. All survivors should try and maintain a positive outlook on things. Life is about living joyfully in congruence with others. As we reflect on our year that has passed it is important to always remember the friends and the family that have stuck by us. After an injury social interactions are quite different than they were prior. As New Years is upon us many people are discussing where they are bringing in the New Year. Many people go to bars and rowdy parties. As I have gotten older I am happy to say that now I am the norm of many people my age and older who do not “party” to bring in the New Year. The New Year will be a gathering of family and a few friends that get together to bring in the New Year. I will try and reflect upon the things that have gone well in my life in the past year. My migraines have vastly been under control and I am confident that my current regimen will keep working. I am not a big resolution girl. I try to live my life in moderation all year so that I am not left feeling as though desperate changes need to be vowed in the New Year. I am happy to say that I have spent a great deal of quality time with my family this year and I feel as though I will continue in the future. I plan to continue my fitness regimen and stay on track with my daily nutrition. I am going to continue attempting to be more independent and continue to try and live an independent life without being entirely dependent upon my parents for too many things. For those earlier in their recovery I would encourage you to get in touch with support groups and to continue setting goals for yourself. There is no limit to the loft of the goals that an individual should set for his/her self. I always like to have a vast goal that I am always shooting for. I am sure that I am not alone when I say that I am trying to live a more peaceful and less dramatic 2017. I will continue on my personal habits as I always have in 2017. Towards the end of this year and certainly in the following year I am going to try and increase my calorie intake to make sure that I am getting proper nutrients for my mentality. I have realized that there are things that are more important than just looking good. I would encourage all to put more dedication towards their health and well being with the coming of the New Year. I vow to put more importance on my state of mind in the coming of the New Year. I guess I do have a resolution for 2017. This will be the first year that I can remember where I have chosen a resolution for myself.  I thank you very much for reading and am interested in hearing any resolutions that you may have made for yourself with New Years coming this weekend! I wish you a happy and healthy New Year!
