Blessed Good Days and Bad

“I’ve seen better days but I’ve also seen worse. I don’t have everything that I want but I do have all that I need. I wake up with some aches and pains but I wake up. My life may not be perfect but I am blessed.” -Unknown

As the year gets into its swing of things life returns to the normality of what is our daily routines. The truth is that we will all have days where we are very much in the routine of “another day”. This quote helps to remind us that we need to rejoice in the fact that we wake up every day. No matter what pains you may have it is always important to remember that there is always somebody who has it worse. No matter what your affliction there is absolutely always someone who is worse off. That being said there is always somebody who is better off as well. Happiness in life is not about competing. Ideally we would all be able to peacefully coexist with one another. For me, I only have grown able to peacefully exist by realizing that indeed there will always be people who are both better off than I and similarly there are those who worse off. I have realized that indeed life is a give and take. Following my brain injury there are some things that will forever be different. My right arm will forever be different than my left. My dystonia in my right arm is here to stay but thankfully I have figured out ways to coexist with it. I have come to except it in large part because it is part of who I am. I will forever have a few challenges, but in reality I am not alone in that at all. I just have to remember how fortunate I am that I have realized how to handle the vast majority of the pains that I feel. Any pains that I do get are thankfully not permanent as this quote reiterates I am indeed blessed and thankful for this life that I lead. Life can get very rudimentary but individuals have to stay in contact with their inspirational factors so that they are forever encouraged to continue along their journey. We live life daily forever looking for purpose and meaning as we each go through our daily tasks. Every person has his/her own path but we are all seeking the same thing at the end of the day. I greatly benefit from being around inspired and inspirational individuals. Every day is different and we should all live to find purpose in every day.  Seeking to surround ourselves with those who believe in the same way that we do should be paramount as we are deciphering who to spend time with. Every day we should each try and remember that every person is fighting his own battles and we are all seeking the same inspiration so as to proactively and enthusiastically continue on this path that we call life. I would love to hear how you have found inspiration along your journey. I thank you for reading.
